John Bedson
(Retired; Senior Construction Manager – Manchester Airports Group; MAG)
After 52 years of working in the construction industry, with the last 15 at Manchester Airport, John is now retired from active work. Formerly, a managerial and property professional in the retail, hospitality, and aviation sectors. John project managed the construction of some of the largest out-of-town shopping developments in Britain. He once worked for Tesco PLC and Marks and Spencer, among others, heading up work streams and building/refurbishing major retail outlets. He has significant experience of expanding and maintaining the estates of blue chip, leisure, and retail companies and has also led, managed, and motivated many professionals.
John is also a qualified coach and mentor, he has guided the career paths of many people who have gone on to have interesting and rewarding careers in their chosen fields.
John has thrown his support behind the Sam Buah Foundation because he sees it as a worthy cause to transform the lives of many young people and provide them with life changing opportunities.
